I need some input....I am thinking of starting a recipe blog and I was wondering what you guys think. I have wanted to publish a cook book for awhile now and I just haven't started...so I was thinking of starting a blog instead...I love to cook and bake and I have a ton of tried and true recipes that I personally think are so fabulous...but that might just be me thinking that.
Also, I am thinking about using the AdSense advertisements to make a little extra $$...anyone used it or know of anyone who does? I figure if I am putting my recipes out there for the viewing pleasure of everyone (Yeah, I brag about my cooking because it's one thing I am really good at and I will let you know about it), why not advertise for someone else and benefit for it....right? Am I being too overly confident? Please let me know what you think and if you have experience or info on this.....Thank You!

So I think this web sight might help. This lady my sister knows started this blog where she sends you all the good deals for four major grocery stores to help add to your food storage. I know she charges to get the grocery deals. Check it out and see if it might help.
Good luck, too bad I HATE cooking :( Maybe I could get some ideas to make me like it better.
Sounds like a fun idea! I could definitely use new easy recipes.
YES, PLEASE?!! I would love it if you'd share more recipes! I love to cook also, but get bored with the same old stuff. I really like getting new recipes that are tried and true family favorites!
I don't know anything about the AdSense thing though, sorry...
I'll have to have you talk to Alan. He uses AdSense on his blog, but he doesn't generate a ton of money - maybe $50/month on a good month. There's a few other ads out there that you can use too. Of course the more people you can bring to your website, the more likely your chances of earning money. I have a friend who earns up to $1000 a month on a website about scouting. But, it's become a popular website and people can download instructions for making the best pinewood derby car, ideas for pack meetings etc. But, it's also not a blog, but a website.
DO IT!!!!!
I am always looking for new recipes to try. I enjoy cooking when I am excited about the recipe...which doesn't happen too often. Maybe you can help bring that excitement back?! Oh and I could use some dinner recipes that do not require cream of chicken/mushroom soup...I believe the Netherlands does not sell that stuff! :)
That would be a really cool idea. I don't usually often cook, but I help out alot.

Amy, it was so fun to read your blog and see your beautiful family. I also loved that you read my blog and your sweet comment. I think it's pretty amazing how time moves on and we are all in different spots but experience so much the same that goes along with being a mom. Wish I had a comment about cooking...all I can say is it's on my list to do that but not sure I will get around to it...Heather Friant
I'm always looking for recipies. I think you should do it!
One other thing. I would suggest the best way to make money is by printing your recipes. www.lulu.com is a great place to print your own work. They have some cool layout for cookbooks. You do all the work of putting it together, and everyone can order one through your blog. You can add what you want to make on the cost of printing, but you don't have to pay anything out of pocket, so there's nothing to lose. We used this site for a cookbook fundraiser at work.
I would definately be checking it out! I love to cook as well. I actually did make cookbooks one year for Christmas presents. It was fun!
