Cha-Ching$ vs. 1st Day of School

So I really like my husband (like A Lot)...
but I don't like some of the things my kids have inherited from him...
for instance...
THEIR TEETH!!!

They all have terrible teeth...
I didn't even get my first cavity until I was pregnant with Taylor...
And, my teeth were pretty straight growing up but I did get braces to make them more straight...
They have since remained relatively straight...

Chris on the other hand...
DISASTER!

1.  He has tongue thrust (it's a nasty habit that pushes your teeth outward)
2.  He has an overbite
3.  His jaw is pretty narrow.

And...so far, 4 out of the 5 kids have all three!

Can you say Cha Ching$ for the orthodontist in our life!
When we are done 'Fixing' our kids' teeth...
we will probably own stock at Dr. L's office...
or should at least have reserved parking...

Rhett on the dooms-day...
the before

And...
the after

That nice little contraption in his mouth is called a gate...
it's supposed to re-train his tongue to swallow properly...
and the other thing on the roof of his mouth is a widening thingy...
I have to crank it out twice a week...
Fun times!

Our first day of school was a couple of weeks ago...
Notice the enthusiasm
I guess I am pretty embarrassing to my kids now...
they are like all cool or something...
and I am just a nuisance...
Whatebs...

Just for the record...
I think I'm pretty cool too!

Hopefully...
The kids won't get my eyes...
or my metabolism.

I pray EVERYDAY that my kids don't get my hubbys teeth. Mine are far from perfect, but his are really bad and so are his brothers. I should start saving money now for the bills! You still have WAY cute kids. Keep driving them crazy taking pictures. Someday they'll thank you :)
