Good News...
We went to the Dr. again today for Chris' wrist and so far the cast is doing its job. He didn't even mention the word surgery and we were excited not to hear it. Chris has to have this long cast on for another 2 weeks and then a short cast for either 2 or 3 weeks after that. Hopefully the calcium deposits will start to form in the next 2 weeks and we can evade surgery all together. And as for the insurance thing, we are pursuing the horse wranglers for some help. So far, the waiver Chris signed seems bulletproof but we are having some experts (ie. the ones with law degrees) look at it for us. We just need a little help with this ordeal, that's all. And furthermore, what do we have to lose by looking into it, right? But for right now we are going to focus on the good news...the wrist is healing nicely!!!
Recipe Blog?
I need some input....I am thinking of starting a recipe blog and I was wondering what you guys think. I have wanted to publish a cook book for awhile now and I just haven't started...so I was thinking of starting a blog instead...I love to cook and bake and I have a ton of tried and true recipes that I personally think are so fabulous...but that might just be me thinking that.
Also, I am thinking about using the AdSense advertisements to make a little extra $$...anyone used it or know of anyone who does? I figure if I am putting my recipes out there for the viewing pleasure of everyone (Yeah, I brag about my cooking because it's one thing I am really good at and I will let you know about it), why not advertise for someone else and benefit for it....right? Am I being too overly confident? Please let me know what you think and if you have experience or info on this.....Thank You!

Happy Pre-Birthday Jenner!!
After Connors baptism, we hung out for awhile and got ready for Jenner's birthday party. My awesome mom had everthing taken care of, decorations, cake, pinata and presents galore. The cute princess hat was made by Taylor, Rhett and Grady. They loved making this for Jenner and we laughed so hard when she wore it almost the entire time.

Always so happy!

She loved the little crawling baby, good thing she just learned how to crawl herself!

How cute is this cake!
Look at all of those presents for such a little girl...

What do you mean I can do whatever I want with it?
Yummy!
All done!!! After sitting on two of the cupcakes, I've had enough! My mom got this cute Unicorn pinata and we thought it would be funny if Jenner could ride it!
First hit goes to Jenner
Daddy gets a turn after all of the cousins
Then Uncle Nate destroyed it.
Connor Knight Belnap
We went to my mom and dad's this weekend for a couple of events. The first being my brother Nate's first child's baptism, Connor!! It was really neat to see my little brother perform his little guys ordinance and then confirm him. We are so proud of Connor for making the decision to be baptized and confirmed. We will be baptizing Rhett in October so it was especially cool for Rhett to see all of this so close to his own baptism. Way to go CONNOR!!!!

Are you kidding me?

Well, we've been to the Dr. again today...this time for Taylor. She has had a bad cough for over a week now and I figured it must be something other than a virus so I scheduled an appointment. Come to find out, she has a crackle in her lungs, both of them...sounds like....Bronchitis or Pnemonia....anyone?....anyone?....REALLY!!! Good thing she seems to be handling it well. Another round of antibiotics and cough medicine for us. I know, I know...we have had our share of bad luck lately...right? I really, really hope this is the last of it because I think I might be at the end of my rope. If I can survive the next 6 or so weeks with Chris in a cast, I can survive ANYTHING!!!! UGHHHHH!!!

I Wish I was WRONG....
This is one of those times where I was just hoping I was wrong. Chris did break his wrist and it is a really bad break. Because of our lack of insurance, the Dr. is trying to set the bone back without having surgery to put pins in. Yeah, I know...really bad! Thankfully because Chris wore the wrist brace all week the fragment didn't move and displace itself. This is not an actual x-ray of his wrist but I was trying to show what happened.

Basically he broke off the corner of the larger bone on the right near the top, before the cluster of bones. I don't know how to edit pictures and stuff so this is all I've got. Wish us luck and please send good vibes our way for a quick recovery.

Now for the After Pictures...
More scruff but Jenner still knew who he was...
My Mountain Man...
The before pictures of Chris' trip...
So these are the three "before" pictures I got of Chris before his trip. He is home now and is a little hurt. Within the first hour of the trip he got bucked off of his horse and we think he broke his wrist. He was bucked off into a pile of rocks and hurt his hip, back, knee and the worst was his wrist. For the first three days of the trip he couldn't even move his fingers because he was so swollen. When the swelling went down the pain didn't subside and he just nursed it the best he could. Luckily his dad had a carpel tunnel brace that he used to entire trip to immobilize his wrist. Last night when he got home we washed the brace and he didn't have it for 2 hours and couldn't stand the pain. I think it's broke, but we'll see. We are biting the bullet and taking him in tomorrow even though we don't have insurance. Wish us luck!
Back to the trip...They had a good time and got some awesome pictures...I already posted the pictures and some info about each one. The mosquitoes were so bad that they had to walk around while they ate...and they weren't able to brush their teeth, wash their faces or anything because the mosquitoes were everywhere. They mostly ate fish which was bad for Tyler and Chris because they don't like fish. The nights were okay they said, Chris slept great thanks to a little tylenol pm and his dad and Tyler slept great after they got to Chris' stash. Every day they would wake up, have breakfast and head off to a different lake to fish for the entire day. They would get back to camp, cook fish, have a little "visit" and hit the hay. I guess there was some male bonding there but what do I know about that. I would prefer to "bond" at the spa!

TA DAAAA!
For about 5 years now I have been wanting to do something to our dining table. Or even better, get a new one...but that wasn't happening. I had this idea to paint it but knew it was way out of my ability to do so. Like I said earlier, I don't like to start projects for fear that I won't finish them or that I will screw them up. Well my friend Rachel fueled my fire and talked me into it. I am so impressed with my work and I am so glad that we did it. The table looks awesome!!! We used about 9 cans of spray paint, 2 sanding blocks and 5 coats of polyurethane...a ton of work but totally worth it! It pretty much took me all week to do it and Chris still isn't home to see it...I hope he likes it because I love it.

I also thought, Heck while I'm doing this I might as well paint the stools too...They are a color called "Oregano" and they too look really good. I still need to poly the tops of them but other than that, they're done!
Oh and by the way, No I can't help you paint your table, I'm too tired!

TAG YOU'RE IT!!!

So I've been tagged again...this time by my friend Lisa H. T. By the way, she is so funny and I loved reading her tag post. I am supposed to tell six Quirks about me, personally I can think of way more than six right now.
1. I hate the smell of sleep. What's the smell of sleep? You know, that smell in the room when you've been asleep all night and the door has been closed. When I was in college, my roomie Cassie had the worst smell of sleep...UGHHH! I just can't stand it!
2. Another smell thing...I hate the smell of dirt on my kids from the outside. I hate it when they have been playing outside and come in to like hug me or hover around me or something. EWWWW! And YES, I have a sonic sniffer...I can smell everything.
3. I hate mosquitoes...they totally give me the willies and I don't know why!
4. I am afraid to start any projects around the house for fear that I will get bored half way through and not finish them. For instance...a project I just finished took me about 5 years to get up the courage to start it. My good friend insisted we do this project this week while Chris is out of town and she just wouldn't let up...I gave in and I am so proud of my work!!! I will post the pictures of this project later.
5. I have a really hard time putting the kids to bed. I am just so exhausted by the end of the day that I feel like I just can't take it anymore. Chris always puts them to bed and he has way more patience than me...he will lay with them, tuck them in numerous time...give piggy back rides...etc...etc...
6. I don't touch raw chicken...it's gross. I will go out of my price range to buy chicken already cut up or tenders or something...no matter how broke I am that week!
6+. For some reason I don't like lunchtime. I mean, fixing lunch. I love to cook and to bake but I do not like any of it at lunch. I would rather go out and buy a taco or something. Because of this, my kids either eat at school because they are there or just have a slice of bologna and cheese. I really need to work on this one.
6++. I wish you would comment more often. I love to get comments and I love to read your posts. I really am doing this blog thing mostly for my own personal reasons, but I do love to get comments...kind of like getting really good mail, right Michelle!!!
6+++. What number am I on again?????
There you go and now I tag Shelby, Ricci, Lara, Carrie, Lisa B. and Heather. (notice I tagged those of you who don't post a whole lot.....JK, I love ya!!!)
Kung Fu Panda and a BAT...

So we went to Kung Fu Panda today in Layton at the AMC movie theatre and this is what was there visiting for the Dark Knight premiere...A Real Live Bat...Yes, that little black spot above Grady is a BAT!!! And...it's alive, much to our disbelief. We thought it was dead. His brother was "hanging out" on the ceiling of the overhang thingy at the theatre. Way cool to see up close and probably something we will never see again. Some really brave guy nudged them and they flew off....Oh....and by the way....Kung Fu Panda was sooooooo good! We laughed our little butts off!
