My Little Girls...

This is what happens when I tell my baby to smile for the camera...nevermind that I am way too close to take a picture anyways...

I love Kid to Kid...they had these cute little flip-flops there the other day and I couldn't resist...and besides, they were only $1.50. Jenner loves them...even in her pajamas~

My mom taught Taylor how to tie a fleece quilt when Grady was in the hospital...here she is tying one for Jenner...so cute~And, today she bought some fleece to tie one for Chris' birthday...

This is what happens almost every night...Jenner joining in on the reading...

One night she came out of the bathroom with all of these ribbons and wanted me to tie them on her...Do you think there are enough?

I just love these two little girlies...sometimes they make me want to pull out my fingernails one by one...but I still love them!

The latest news...

On Saturday I took Jenner into insta-care because she had been fevering for a whole day...non-stop and I was worried...she tested positive for RSV...Great...that night at midnight she was laboring pretty badly on her breathing...Chris got dressed to go to the ER because I had just taken a sleeping pill (stupid me) and we decided to call our Dr's cell phone that he so generously gave us the number too...we worked out a plan to put her on the oxygen too (we had an extra tank) and she seemed to do okay...Sunday morning we called Praxair for more oxygen, a suction maching and a new pulse oximeter...she got worse and Grady was still the same...UGHHHHH...Now it's Monday afternoon and BOTH kids are off of their oxygen and have saturations of around 94-95 (needs to be above 90) so we are feeling so much better about things...Yay for us!!!! We had a CRAZY week but we made it through...thanks to all of you for the prayers and thoughts on our behalf...we are so blessed!

A special thanks to Alyssa, our AWESOME nurse at Davis for giving us so much support...if you ever need to go there, go on Wed, Thurs or Sat...you'll get to meet Alyssa and feel of her AWESOMENESS too!!!

All is well...

We're home and we're good...well, as good as can be...Grady is on some new meds and still on oxygen, but we are glad to be home...Thanks for all of the Well Wishes...

Taking a break...

I'm taking a break from blogging for a few days...Grady is in the Hospital again, this time with RSV...I'm mad...

Can you say AHHHHHH...

I just got back from a massage...a massage that my Hubbie bought for me 2 years ago...it's takes me awhile to get things done around here...it was blissful...it was heaven...now I am really sore and achy but it was worth it!

American Idol on my TiVo...

I love this kid...and I mean KID because I am so old...really love him!!! My temperature rises, my heart beats faster and my salivary glands start to over-react when he takes the stage...mmmm...can't wait for next week...Seriously!!! Look at him...he's yummy!

Oh I forgot...he can sing too but that's completely IRRELEVANT to me!

Friday Night High-Lights...

So the last few Fridays the kids have been having a "late-night" and "sleeping over" in the living room...they love this new tradition and can't wait for it every week. I snuck out there when they were sleeping to capture these moments...nothing cuter than a sleeping kid...

We got this new game for Grady's birthday called Flippin Frogs and the kids just love it...even Jenner...she anticipates the "jump" of the tree and gets so excited when it happens...so cute. I had to take her to the Dr. last week and she finally broke 20 lbs...Yay Jenner...she is in the 3% for her weight and the 4% for her height...little stinker...

As for me, I am doing much better but still not 100%...and as for the pregnancy, I am feeling better that way too...Not getting too nauseous very often and I'm getting more done around the house. My new year's resolutions were to clear the sink every night and to be more on top of laundry and so far into the year I am doing pretty darn good if I say so myself...we'll see what the other 8 1/2 months bring...

The meds are working...

Hey...I am doing much better...I felt like I got hit by a Mac Truck on Monday and Tuesday and today was a bit better...Jenner is now on antibiotics too for a sinus infection, poor kid. The sick season will be over soon and I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Also, Grady made his first attempt to read a chapter book tonight and I couldn't be more excited about it. I always thought he was going to be my one who just didn't care about reading but he has really taken a liking to it and it is so fun to witness...if you know of any easy chapter books out there, please let me know. Right now he is reading the Captain Underpants stuff but it is still a little hard and when he comes to a really hard word he can't sound out, he skips it...funny I know but sort of defeats the whole purpose of reading a "story" when you skip half the words...Cute little guy!

The Bachelor...

So I have read so many posts today about Jason on the Bachelor and I too have an opinion. I think he is a REAL guy who made a VERY bad mistake and was actually OWNING up to his mistake...and I think Molly was amazing and so classy because she really did LOVE him...if you were her and you loved him wouldn't you take him back if he came begging...I know I would have...

I feel for the guy cuz he has to deal with all of the scrutiny and torment for just living his life but...if he hadn't have been on T.V., we wouldn't of even heard of this and no one would be affected...so there...deal with it! I'm happy for them and I hope they make it!

Is there a group for this?

Does anyone know if there is a group around here that I can attend for the issues my husband has...really...look how weird he is...and this is a frequent occurence...his response to, "What the heck are you doing?" was..."Things look really weird through these little tiny holes, there's even a green glow on everthing I see."...YA THINK? Seriously!

And, I went to the Dr. today for my "cold" and I have a sinus infection with some red eardrums too. They put me on an antibiotic and told me to see how I feel after a few days and if things aren't better to call them. Also, they prescribed me Nasonex...do you know how much that stuff costs?...?...$104.00...I Know!!! Sheesh...Needless to say....I didn't get it....I will deal....for now....

Calling all OB nurses...or wannabes...

Does anyone know what meds are safe during the first trimester in pregnancy...you would think I would with this being my 5th but I am so confused...

Symptoms:

I have a cold and allergies

My eyes are itchy and watery

I can't sleep
I am sneezing all the time

My nose is sooooo stuffy
I have that cold "taste" in my mouth

Seriously, any and all advice would be helpful...even from you lurkers...speaking of lurkers, why don't you de-lurk yourself today and let me know who you are...sounds like fun!

Things Happened...

1. Didn't get in to Phlebotomy Training Program (totally bummed)
2. Shown house 5 times in the last week
3. Chris forgot Jenner in car at the 7-11
4. Dr. removed another in-grown toenail for Rhett (OUCH)
5. Jenner has a cold
6. Now I have a cold
7. Taylor and Grady were attacked by a Doberman...called animal control and owners were cited...they were mad and said WE'RE the CRAZY ones?!?
8. Managed to get the floor mopped tonight...first time in 2009
9. Cut Grady's hair and he HATES it...wears hood at school all day
10. Filed taxes weeks ago and still no RETURN!!!
11. Enjoyed some sweet pork tacos I made all by myself...YUM
12. Found recipe for Sprinkles Cupcakes and they are not all that...

Well, that's us in a nutshell...Our little life never ceases to amaze me...wouldn't have it any other way!!!

So Jenner has another cold and we are using the ever so helpful Breathe Right Strips again...this time around has proven to be a little bit harder to get her to keep them on so therefore we have...Breathe Right Strips vs. Baby...And, we only wasted 1!!!

I did it!!!!

It's no secret...I'm technologically challenged...(maybe spellinweirdwords challenged too), but I did it!!! I set up our printer all by myself and I even scanned my first picture...my ultrasound from the other day. See, I really am pregnant.


Also, it's 11:00 pm and I just finished doing my kid's report for him....or I mean, typing his report for him. And BTW, why does he even have a report in the 2nd grade? Really? He can't type to save his life and I'm sure his teacher knows that the parents will do all of the work for them. What's the point in the end? It is an animal report and he picked Komodo dragon which is kind of fun to learn about...but I'm in my 30's and don't need to be doing a report on them!!!! Rant Rant Rant...Blah Blah Blah...

Baby Countdown...

So not much is happening around here...I did however get my Baby Countdown Ticker up and I do think it's pretty cute...we'll see on the boy or girl thing...according to the chinese calendar, it's a boy, but it hasn't always been right for me...what about you?

The kids are all doing well except for Jenner, she now has a cold and is suffering a bit. She isn't sleeping through the night again and it's driving me CRAZY...I am soooo tired!

I am feeling better and not relying on the Ginger Ale too much anymore...However, I am always HUNGRY...and I was never like this with the other 4 preggos...what is going on? Just yesterday at Sam's, Jenner and I shared some pizza and that usually does it for me....NOT this time, I had to do a drive through at Taco Bell and get a taco and some chips...Oh My Gosh...if you know me and have seen me lately the last thing I NEED is to gain weight with this pregnancy...With Grady and Jenner I gained less than 10 lbs. and I am already at 8 lbs with this one....Holy Moly...see my reasons for thinking it was twins?

Just One Chicken!!!!

Now What?

Now what?...Now that my secret is out...what do I blog about? Let's see...hmmm...I'm thinking! I could tell you that on Friday Jan. 30, Taylor was put on an antibiotic for Strep Throat and then on Friday Feb. 6, she broke out in a horrible rash...me thinking is was from the antibiotic and dismissed all other possibilities. Sunday, she finishes the antibiotic...still with a rash that has now doubled. Monday Feb. 9, I keep her home from school because of the mysterious rash and put a call into the Dr...during the wait for the call back I remember that she went in her friends hot tub Thursday...Oh Crap...she's allergic...she has Hot Tub Folliculitis...she had it about 3 years ago and hasn't been in a hot tub since...poor kid!

Also on Monday Feb. 9, we take Rhett to the orthodontist for a consult...we are thinking that he definitely needs braces and it will probably set us back about $1500...we were wrong. Not only does he need braces on the top but the bottom as well AND a new appliance that will correct his tongue thrust...his tongue thrust is so severe that it not only has moved his top teeth but the bottom as well AND the poor kid can't even close his mouth without using some chin muscle...total cost for Phase I (he will have 2 phases)...$2330! ARGHHH!!! What the crap?

Now it's Wednesday Feb. 11, and we now have Taylor on another antibiotic now for the Hot Tub Folliculitis because it COULD turn into staph (it has tripled)...holy moly...AND today also, Rhett had a visit to the foot Dr. for an ingrown toenail that he had to have removed...CRAZY...and he is now on an antibiotic too...

You would think that by now not only would I own some serious stock in Tanner Clinic...I would at least have reserved parking...right?

Also, I have this sneeking suspicion that there is more that one little bean in the oven...Call me crazy but I can't shake the feeling...and like I said above...I never get sick while pregnant and this time I am sick...and my uterus is already to my belly button...and I have that feeling...we'll see...ultrasound on Tues...

What did you do with your Tax Return?

I have been thinking alot about Tax Returns lately...tis the season...and I was wondering what you are doing with yours. Chris and I usually get a pretty good return and this was no exception...but as usual, our list of "things" we want to do with it is longer than a roll of toilet paper...so, we narrowed it down to these few items...

1. Braces for this guy...Look at those pearly whites...

2. A new washer...it was inevitable and had to be done...and I am not complaining at all!

3. This little thing...who knew they would cost so much when you don't have insurance...Oh wait...I do...

I am 8 weeks and the little one is due Sept. 18!

Ode to drive throughs...

Ode to the drive through...Syracuse has this new pizza place called PizzaRetti and it's kind of like a Little Ceasar's...only $5.00 for a pizza...but the best part is....IT HAS A DRIVE THROUGH!!! How genious of them to think of this...I thought I was on to something way back in the 90's when I thought we should invent a drive through video store (RedBox) and a drive through pizza joint (PizzaRetti)...DANG IT...I should have listened to my instincts...

Oh well...I will make my millions some how...now if they only had drive through bathrooms...hmmmmmmm!

Under the table...

This is how my sweet angel likes to eat her food...under the table...weird huh? And yes I do have 3 other kids but they are at school all day and miss out on all of the "fun" Jenner and I have...

Let's see, what else is new...Taylor is on a school field trip to Snowbasin today...SKIING...and my anxiety over this is in overdrive...She, however was very excited this morning and I hope the excitement doesn't turn into pure FEAR by the end of the day. Here's hoping and praying...

Rhett has an orthodontic appointment for braces soon and we'll see how much that is going to set us back. His teeth are hideous and they make me laugh when he smiles...poor kid...mean mom!

Our washer broke down the other day and we were able to get it working again but have to do small loads, and by small I mean maybe 1 pair of jeans and t-shirt and 3 socks...fun times. I have been doing laundry non-stop since Sunday and I see no light at the end of the tunnel...we went to RC Willey last night and found some sweet models that may cost us one of our children, but you have to have a washer right? We'll see who'll draw the short straw on this one...mmmm, I'm hoping for.....Nevermind!!!

Other than that...Jenner and I are at home all day...doing nothing...in fact, it's almost 2:00 pm and I still haven't showered...wish you were here! My life as a stay-at-home mom...jealous yet? I might be a little down in case you didn't notice but...I still have my family, home and health and a job...for now. Oh, I applied for the phlebotomy training program at McKay Dee...wish me luck! I'll know more in a couple of weeks and I am HOPING I get it...we could really use it right now~
